Toronto Greenhouse Minister of Natural Resources Event: May 26th, 2009
Toronto Greenhouse was happy to present: Donna Cansfield, Ontario Minister of Natural Resources and Chris Lowry, Founder/Director - Green Enterprise Toronto.
Donna Cansfield was appointed Minister of Natural Resources in October 2007, Cansfield made effective a new Endangered Species Act which tripled the number of protected species in Ontario. She is responsible for an initiative to plant 50 million trees in southern Ontario. Cansfield also introduced Bill 21, the Energy Conservation Responsibility Act, which was passed by the legislature in February 2006.
Chris Lowry, Green Enterprise Toronto Network Director, is an entrepreneur who has founded and managed both independent media production businesses and non-profit organizations. G.E.T. believes that Toronto can become a sustainable city by supporting its local, green businesses.
